Target originally the Target Corporation is one of US retail corporations pioneered in retail of products at a discounted Price and ranks as the second largest discount retailer in the country after Walmart. The company came into existence with the opening of their first store located at 1515 West County Road B in the Saint Paul suburb of Roseville, Minnesota. But the concept of developing a discount retail chain came into the mind of John F. Geisse while working at the Dayton Dry Goods Company that was established back in the year 1902. The name of the company was given in accordance with the policy of one of the publicity director of the company Stewart K. Widdess, that was intended to prevent consumers from associating the new discount store chain with the department store. In the beginning years the company underwent losses and received its first GAIN in the year 1965 which forced the company to expand its business and opened company's fifth outlet in the state. From there on the company never looked back and add number of stores to the count in the chain. The company sell various products of daily use such clothing, home furnishing, electronic goods, furniture, toys, health and beauty-care products etc.

Ms. Torie Pugh CallsApr 02, 2018

Hello,

I have never posted a complaint before. But I think this is concerning. Three weeks ago at your Owings Mills Maryland location there was an involved shooting within the store. This location is very quiet and non violent, so I myself was shocked about the events that happened. Two gentleman were in a dispute and shots were firing inside by the cash-register. Everyone (men, women and children were running) due to the recent violent shooting attacks happening around the world lately. I myself have never been involved in something of this matter. But it took away my sense of safety away from the organization. I love (loved) to shop at Target, but am honestly a little afraid to go back. I understand that we do not always have control over every event, but just maybe a little extra security might help. I'm not sure if/when I will go back to a Target store, but please take this email about security and safety into strong consideration. Thank you.

Mr. David Rosenwasser CallsJun 05, 2018

I found out that my red card was terminated for lack of activity. I did not receive an written notices that this was going to happen. When I called 800 5670979 the woman told me to reapply for a card. I have what most people would consider is very good credit numbers. I do not understand why Target would not just take the initiative to a open an account for me and send me a new card? Why am I the one to have to do the work? You have more information about me than probably my wife of 34 years. I guess you just do not want my business. I have a lot better customer service from Nordstrom, Macy's, Kohls and other stores, so I guess your company wants less customers. As a university professor in marketing I will begin to use Target as a case study in my classes. Maybe you know something that no other retailer knows, closing accounts that were always paid on time is a new way to stimulate business.
