Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga is founded and managed by the R. C. Diocese of Sivagangai. It is a minority, co-educational and self-supporting institution, Her motto is "Shine in Love" .Though its educational service is oriented towards the christian minority,it is open to the students of other religions too. Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga is situated in a vast 25 acres within the area of Devakottai municipality (Devakottai Extension) between the twin cities Karaikudi and Devakottai.
Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga is one such institution that aims at forming students to face the challenges of life in a dignified manner, esteeming fellow humans and the world as sacred. Education at this institute tries to produce the following vital aptitudes in its students; the ability to think clearly, acquire knowledge of the past and present, envisage the future, develop skill to do service, and continue all these for creating a healthy and self-reliant community.

Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga library is a dwelling place of knowledge, containing a total of more than 7000 books, including the general books and the books related to the subjects like Tamil, English, Biochemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and commerce. The general books contain encyclopedia, dictionaries, aptitude books, and ethics and so on. Along with books, 23 magazines and 7 daily news papers are available in our library.

At present Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga are having two separate hostels, Joseph hostel for men and Josephine hostel for women. Our hostels have become real boon to the first generation learners. The academic achievements of our hostels students are commendable. Spiritual life is kept alive for both the hostlers. Our hostels provide the students all kinds of facilities and create a silent and peaceful atmosphere for the Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga students to study better. Ananda College of Arts and Science - Sivaganga coffee house aims at making the literature students speak English, Listen to English, Write English and Read English. Every Monday afternoon at 1:00 pm the Literature students gather to enact literary dramas, characters, speeches and so on.
